Hi folks,

This week, the english producer REMOTIF, who just dropped a track for FATE AND FICTION, selected for BCKSTG 10 amazing tracks.

Listen to REMOTIF: https://soundcloud.com/dotmotif/tracks

1. DJ Wave – Above The Clouds (Lobster Theremin) – « A Studio Ghibli sampling cosmic slo-jam masterpiece »

2. Avalon Emerson – Church of SoMa (Spring Theory) – « Can’t go wrong with some industrial afrobeat-tech »

3. Prequel – Nothing Better (Rhythm Section) – « A delicate, soulful vocal sample which weaves in and out, with some lovely percussion to boot »

4. Byron The Aquarius – Exxxtasy (Wild Oats)- « Rising star Byron deploys an undulating bassline against twinkling Rhodes and synth harmonies. »

5. Truby & Marlow – Peace Pt. 1 (Fifty Fathoms Deep)- « I love songs where you can’t tell where the original sample begins and ends. This Gil Scott-Heron indebted track is a great example of this. »

6. Red 7 – I Lost My Shoes On Acid (White) – « Hugh Masekala flip reversal, acid-house style. »

7. John Swing – Touch [LiveJam Records] – « I love the counterbalance between drum machine percussion, and the more organic melodic aspects that sit beneath it. »

8. Andy Hart – Sorayama’s Fantasy (Voyage Recordings)- « 7 or so minutes of warm bubbling chords and dusty beats. »

9. Nebraska – Rat Boogie (Friends & Relations) - »A choice cut off his excellent new EP full of low-slung disco inflected chuggers – Nebraska is on the verge of great things for sure. »

10. Prince – Purple Music (Jamie 326 Basement Edit) (326 Records) – « A funky as hell house re-edit of one of the Purple One’s lesser known tunes. »
